Heliomar holds a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the Federal University of Espírito Santo, with a specialization in Civil Construction from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, and in Environmental Engineering from Faculdade Cândido Mendes, with a master’s degree in Architecture and Cities, from the University of Vila Velha. He is the President of the current management of CAU/ES.
In addition, he is the Owner Partner of Heliomar Venâncio Arquitetura and the author of the books “Arquitetura em 10 Lições: Introdução ao Fascinante Mundo Arquitetônico (Architecture in 10 Lessons: Introduction to the Fascinating Architectural World)”, “Minha Casa Sustentável: Guia para uma Construção Residencial Responsável (My Sustainable Home: A guide for Responsible Residential Construction)” and “A Arquitetura da Construção: Um Guia para a Sua Obra”. (The Architecture of Construction: A Guide for Your Construction Work).

Helmut Square and Drink Bar
CASACOR | ES 2021
The square was named after the historic owner of the house, Mr. Helmut Meyrfreund, a business icon from Espírito Santo, who had a brilliant career at Fábrica de Chocolates Garoto (Garoto Chocolate Factory), recognized for his leadership, humility and generosity.
Sustainability is present in the entire DNA of this space, with the use of photovoltaic energy, LED lamps, containers, recycled sand and gravel, drainage flooring, structural steel, water-based paint and bamboo.
